To play this book tag, you need to…
1) Pick a TV show
2) then use gifs, memes, etc of that show to describe books and characters
It’s as easy as that – Here we go.
Full disclosure. I don’t watch TV anymore so I’m not up-to-date when it comes to the hottest shows on TV right now. BUT I do watch The Game of Thrones. I loved the books and even though the TV show sometimes make me rage, I’m too invested to stop watching it. So as part of this book tag, I’m going to use the GAME of THRONES.
1. Name your favorite author that you’d do anything to meet her/him in person.
Hmm…I would say for romance, I would love to meet Kristen Ashley, Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Nora Roberts. Aside from loving their books, I love following them on social media. It would be fun to meet them in person, too.
For non-romance, I would love to meet JK Rowling and George RR Martin. JK Rowling because I find her personal journey of being a writer fascinating, and GRRM because I want to ask him when the fuck is he going to be releasing Winds of Winter.
Umm, never mind, George. Never mind.
2. Name the book that made you question your sanity.
That time when I picked up a Nicholas Sparks book.
3. Name your number one book boyfriend.
That would be Sam Donovan from Linda Howard’s Mr. Perfect because duh…he’s perfect in every way that matters.
What then happened wasn’t her fault. She was standing at the sink rinsing out her cup when the kitchen light in the house across the way flicked on and Sam walked into view. She stopped breathing. Her lungs seized, and she stopped breathing. “Sweet baby Jesus,” she croaked, and managed to inhale.
She was seeing more of Sam than she had ever thought she would; everything, in fact. He stood in front of the refrigerator, stark naked. She barely had time to admire his buns before he took a bottle of orange juice from the fridge, twisting off the top and tilting it to his mouth as he turned around. She forgot all about his buns. He was more impressive coming – no pun intended – than he was going, and that was saying something, because his butt was severely cute. The man was hung.
So inappropriate, Geri. So inappropriate.
4. Name the ARC (Advance Reader Copy) you’ve received that made you super excited.
The last time I really got excited was receiving an ARC for Lisa Kleypas’ Brown-Eyed Girl. I had been waiting for that book since forever and to get to read it early was such a treat.
5. Name the book/series you literally devoured.
That would be The Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz. I easily get bored so I rarely read a series in one go but I got hooked with The Siren and once I started I couldn’t stop.
6. Name the last book that left you with a huge book hangover.
Thick Love by Eden Butler.
I’m just gonna lay here for a minute or two…
7. Name the most unexpected plot in a book you’ve ever read.
Hmm…I can’t think of one when it comes to romance but the first time I read The Game of Thrones and found out that Ned died was quite a shock. I thought he’s the main guy!!
8. Name an addition to a series that you didn’t expect and made you super happy.
Aflame by Penelope Douglas. At first I was apprehensive but then I read the book and I was happy with how everything turned out.
Some extra questions you can use:
•Name the book boyfriends you’d totally would love to see all together in the same book.
•Name one character you’d fight your ass off for him/her.
•Name your favorite stand alone series.
•Name the hottest book you’ve ever read.
