For fans of Jill Shalvis and Kristan Higgins, a sweet, small-town romance about writing your own happy ending... Kira Andersen’s professional instinct for a story has never led her wrong. So when she learns of a famous writer hiding in plain sight in a tiny New England town, she can’t resist following the trail. The only problem is everyone in Harvest Cove seems intent on keeping her from tracking down the elusive author—especially a handsome distraction who’s making it very hard to focus on the job... Henry “Fitz” Fitzroy has no intention of letting a nosy reporter uncover his alter-ego as superstar writer Malcom Roy. Only Kira’s persistence is hard to deny—as is his own attraction to her. The more time he spends with her, the more he discovers he’d give almost anything to keep her in his life. But as work and play become inexorably entwined for Kira and Fitz, they realize that getting what they want for their careers might mean losing everything their hearts desire...
A sweet, low-angst, small town romance between a reclusive fantasy author and a freelance journalist tasked to interview him.
I’m huge fan of small-town romances, and A Little More Love fits this trope to a tee. Kira comes to Harvest Cove for her twin brother’s wedding. At the same, she’s also there to chase a tip that the reclusive fantasy author Malcolm Roy lives in the area. Intent on getting a sit-down interview with the author, she didn’t think she needs a distraction. But a distraction is what she gets in the form of Fitz, the resident nerdy slacker of Harvest Cove.
I love that their connection didn’t start immediately even though it’s clear to the readers and the people of Harvest Cove how much they match each other. They’re both geeky. They love fantasy and gaming, etc. I adore Fitz. He’s the perfect beta hero. He’s nervous and shy but not indecisive.
So if you’re in the mood for something light and sweet, I highly recommend this book. <3
